About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sports Betting & Casino Content Writer to join our international editorial team and create high-quality, engaging content for the Nigerian betting market.

You will be responsible for producing original, SEO-optimised content that helps users make informed betting decisions while supporting our organic growth and commercial objectives.

As part of your role, you will also be expected to create accounts with Nigerian betting operators, test their desktop and mobile platforms, and write authentic first-hand reviews based on your own experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Write high-quality affiliate content for the Nigerian market, including bookmaker reviews, app reviews, betting guides, promo code articles, bonus pages, and other gambling-related content based on detailed editorial briefs.

  • Produce engaging, accurate, and SEO-optimised content that meets the highest SEO and E-E-A-T standards.

  • Test Nigerian betting operators on desktop and mobile to create authentic, first-hand reviews of their products and user experience.

  • Research betting trends, sporting events, bookmakers, and industry developments to ensure content remains accurate and up to date.

  • Optimise and update existing articles based on editorial feedback, SEO recommendations, and performance data.

  • Apply SEO best practices, including keyword optimisation, internal linking, metadata, and content structure.

  • Create or provide supporting visual assets (e.g. screenshots, Canva graphics) to enhance published content when required.

  • Upload, format, and publish approved content in WordPress, following our editorial and publishing guidelines.

  • Collaborate closely with our Content Managers, Editors, and SEO Specialists using Slack, Asana, and other collaboration tools to deliver projects on time.

  • Ensure all content complies with editorial standards, responsible gambling principles, and local gambling regulations.

  • Proofread and fact-check all content before submission to maintain the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of professional writing experience within the sports betting, online casino or iGaming industry.

  • Previous experience working with operators or affiliate websites.

  • Excellent written English with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian betting market, major bookmakers and player preferences.

  • Good knowledge of SEO content writing and optimisation.

  • Experience using WordPress or another CMS.

  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush or Surfer SEO is an advantage.

  • You must be based in Nigeria to access and test locally licensed betting operators.

  • Comfortable creating betting accounts, placing test deposits where required, and reviewing both desktop and mobile experiences.
